Missed the kite fest last year b/c we were up in DC dropping off and picking up campers. But this year, we got to go. The fest was delightful and chill, and it was a beautiful day. We flew some kites, sampled some local food and drink, swapped stories with the Greenbank educators, and generally relaxed - much festival pose was observed. We even had a close encounter with a bonafide celebrity - Smokey the Bear! Afterwards we went out to dinner at Smoke on the Water for Zara's birthday (observed). While waiting for our food, Snaps taught us a variation on "Wavelength" that you can just play without cards or a board, which was probably more fun then it should have been - and everyone picked up on it really quickly, even people who hadn't played before. A delicious dinner was enjoyed by all.
