Here's Amity at the Discovery museum. Amity's a giraffe (in a skirt) and rockin' the boat. I wasn't there so I don't know what all else is going on, but the cute speaks for itself, no?

Flower Girls

Z and A's babysitter, Katie, is getting married in October. She asked the girls to be part of her flower girl posse, and of course they are delighted to participate! As a test for the wedding photography, Katie and her flower girls did a photo session on UVA grounds. These shots are a preview... I'm impressed. Cute kids, sure, but well-captured on "film" is an entirely different feat. Thanks for sharing, Katie! Can't wait to see how all the little girls look in their flower girl attire!

You oughta be in pictures

On a whim and at her request I sent in a picture of Zara to a casting agent who was casting a commercial with local talent only. Zara was selected for an audition, and then while we were on Spring Break in NYC we found out she was being "seriously considered." 24 hours later she had been cast in the commercial, and 2 days after that she was on the set, swinging her way into the hearts of the crew.... and any other passers-by who happened to be around Pen Park. She made good friends with the craft services person, as well, who plied her with much junk during filming breaks. We have yet to see the finished product (and we don't have a TV, so if could be awhile), but if any of you, dear readers, happen to catch Zara swinging in a commercial for UVA Health Systems, do let us know!
