Ponchos

Here is what happens when Wes and I are preoccupied by other household tasks and we let the kiddos dress themselves. Matchy-matching-ness made possible by "sister dresses" from the Gordon Brombergs as well as ponchos from Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Art. They just both happen to have navy knee socks, and I think Zara chose for both of them to have "heliotrope" aka purple Keens.

Zara's self-portrait

Zara really enjoys art class at Johnson. Her teacher Ms. Ryan is fantastic and the city schools have a really terrific art curriculum. Zara had a piece chosen for the all-city show again this year. Last year it was her portrait of Sojourner Truth. This time it was her self-portrait. Enjoy!

Purim!

The MMs are in town (which is AWESOME) but we took a break from non-stop playing and fun to attend the CBI Purim carnival. Zara makes a very convincing zebra, while Amity ditched her alligator mask in favor of Claire MM's pig mask (upside down, for dramatic effect?). Chag Purim Sameach!

Ponies! Where are you?

Not only does Amity have an awesome time with Vijay when playing at the museum (or whatever other adventure they may pursue) but Vijay is apparently the only person who is good about taking pictures of Amity *and* getting them to a blog-postable format, aka my laptop. Neither Wes nor I can manage to do that these days. We are lame. We will make it better, we promise. Lots of fun has been happening - Amity turned 2, for example! But we have not synced said fun and it will probably be a few more days. In the meantime, however, enjoy Amity on the old-fashined carousel outside the Discovery Museum. She loves the ponies, and when we get to the Downtown Mall she can be heard calling "Poooooooh-nies! Where AAAAARRRRRE you?" It is SO cute. So!
