Bearfence Mountain

We went for a hike today, and for the first time attempted a rock scramble with the kiddos in tow. Amity stayed comfy on Wes' back (as seen here) and Zara did fantastically. Once we were done with the difficult part, however, she ended up tromping through a bunch of wet mud and her shoes were so slick and caked she took a messy but not serious fall on the flat part of the trail. Luckily some fellow hikers were kind enough to give us some baby wipes and we were able to clean her up pretty well, with nothing wounded but her pride. We'll definitely be back again in the Spring, a fun hike for sure.

Ice Cream Goodbyes

Saying goodbyes are never easy, especially when some of your favorite people are heading back to their home that's hundreds of miles (or like, a thousand kilometers) away. But, ice cream does help. Here are a few last pics of the kiddos enjoying a little treat at Kohr Brothers. (While I'm not on the subject, all of the photos taken during the MM's visit were taken by Char. I was somehow too lame. Or busy. Yeah, that's it, I was dealing with a toddler!)
